This WSECTCP utility is the Web browser front end for the utility
SECTCP (Secured TCP). Using WSECTCP you can operate
SECTCP in an easier way than from a 5250 display terminal.
SECTCP is of course a prerequisite for running WSECTCP.
The HTTP directives
Some HTTP directives must be installed in your HTTP instance to make WSECTCP work.
This is how such directives can be found:
- If OS release lower than V6R1,
STRSEU SRCFILE(WSECTCP/APACHECONF) SRCMBR(WSECTCP) OPTION(5)
- If OS release equal or higher than V6R1,
STRSEU SRCFILE(WSECTCP/APACHECONF) SRCMBR(WSECTCP24) OPTION(5)
These HTTP directives restrict WSECTCP access only to the SECTCP owner,
a user profile USRCLS(*SECOFR), assigned this ownership at SECTCP installation time.
The Secured TCP utility provides
- facilities to protect OS/400
FTP and TELNET servers
- facilities to log FTP and TELNET activities
- facilities to display HTTP, FTP and TELNET logs
- facilities to display statistics and history trends from log summaries:
| HTTP | FTP | TELNET |
